Urban Agriculture in Nairobi: From Hostility to Support

I wrote this paper for my International Development class. I chose the topic of urban agriculture in Nairobi, Kenya because I am interested in food systems and access to food, and because I had never researched a place or issue within Africa in depth before. I wanted to learn about a place I did not know a lot about, and this essay was a great way to do that. I compiled information from a literature review and analyzed various actors that impacted urban farming in Nairobi in order to write the case study below. The essay also includes two diagrams I created to visualize information about the actors and the timeline of events.
